The responsibility of managing the Dera was assigned to Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji in the year 1963.

Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji was born on 30th of Assu 1925 in village Jahaniya Shah distt Shahpur ( Now In Pakistan). His parents Bhai Gurdit Singh Ji and mother Mata Sabhrai Ji were worried about his health. They took him to nearly each and every ved and priest but all in vain. Once Baba Jawahar Singh Ji had come to village Jahania Shah for a religious discourse. Mata Sabhrai Ji took Baba Tara Singh Ji to Baba ji and asked for his blessing. In return Baba Jawahar Singh Ji said "Leave the child under guardianship of Guru Nanak and he shall stay in good health. Mata he is the choosen one".

Baba Ji came to the Dharamshala at Mitha Tiwana at a very early age. Baba Jawahar Singh Ji nursed him like his own child. Baba Tara Singh in the early years of his life served in the langer. He did the utensils and took care of other realated activities. At times Baba Tara Singh felt sad that he was made to work in the langer while his other assocites were learning Kirtan and Gurbani Path. He expressed his fellings with Baba Jawahar Singh Ji who would smile and say " Don't worry the learned and well educated will serve you".

He continued his Sewa at the Dera and finally on 5th November 1963 he was assigned the responsibility of managing the Dera. By nature Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji was very progressive , religious minded and a saintly Sikh missionary, real propagator of the Gurmat. He started an institute for Gurmat reverences under the name GURMAT SANGEET VIDYALA ( MITHA TIWANA) Children from various parts of the country come here to take lessons of Gurbani Path and Shabad Kirtan. Many renowened Ragi Jathas have recieved inculcation and have internationally acquired fame .

About 50 to 60 pupil reside in the boarding facility and recieve free education related to Gurbani .

It was his innate ambition to construct a Hospital and a large Dewan Hall. Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji constructed Bhai Kanhaiya Ji Hospital along with a Bhai Kanhaiya Ji Charitable Blood Bank (Govt. Approved). The hospital caters to the medical needs of the weaker section. Eye Operations are conducted ( Free of cost ) each Sunday. The hospital is equipped with its own labs and ambulance.

Baba Jawahar Singh Ji Dewan Hall measuring about 10,000 sqft. in area was also constructed by Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji.

Gurmat Sangeet under the name of Amrit Bani Cassette Library (Audio-Video) was started by him as a effort to cope with the change in the way of mass media.

On 16th of March 1998 Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji breath his last ,leaving behind a legacy of complete devotion to the service of the Most High. He assigned The responsibility to Sant Baba Pritipal Singh, the present assignee of Dera Hari Bhagat Pura. Baba Ajit Singh has been given the responsibility to assist Sant Baba Pritipal Singh in managing the Dera .
